"Market Femme"... Colfax

If you're flying down west 39th Street in Kansas City, Missouri you could easily pass a hidden treasure...Colfax. This small, women's boutique offers an intimate setting with one-of-kind clothing, jewelry, handbags, scarves, and other accessories. I was truly impressed with the affordability of the merchandise and how friendly the staff was. The jewelry cases alone, leave you with a "gotta-have-it" expression as you walk through the store. I loved how the cases were mounted on the wall. Some of the jewelry brands include: Pasticcio Jewelry, Betsey & Iya, Stampunk Jewelry, and Scarlett Garnett. The handbags are to die for. I think every girl should own one! I would say that the target market for this store is ages 18-25. I think that any age woman could pull off their bags, jewelry, and scarves. Colfax is an awesome place to go, if you want to add that extra "umph" to your look.

"A Fun Place to Shop!"... Boomerang

If you've never been to Boomerang, you are missing out! Boomerang sells Men's and Women's vintage clothing & accessories, decorative furnishings, and collectables from the 1940s to the 1980s. Not to mention that they also "buy" to sell in the store.  The store's offerings include: retro sunglasses, wigs, hosiery, hats, jackets, dresses, tops, bottoms, jewelry, bags, furnishings- you name it! You also have the option of renting select merchandise. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, which makes your shopping experience really pleasant.  The prices vary; however,  it is affordable and quality merchandise. Everything is a "steal!" The store's selection is do broad that the target market would truly be any age. Most consumers would be in the store to put together costume attire. Whether you want to be Elvis,  Olivia Newton John from Grease, Micheal Jackson from the "Beat it" video, a 1920s flapper- or just add a vintage flare to make your outfit pop... I agree with their slogan. Boomerang truly is "A Fun Place to Shop!"

In just a few clicks, Gojane.com will take you from plain Jane to style maven! My favorite feature on the site or from the newsletters is "The deal of the week." You can snag a tank for as low as $4. There's always a new item for the deal. The site's offerings include women's: formal wear, shoes, dresses, denim, tops, bottoms, swim, and other accessories. The price points range from $2 to $60. Not to mention- the items are already discounted. So when items are on sale...it's truly a bargain. The "Shop By Favorites" tab is a great "go-to" spot to see what the latest trends are and what other consumers are purchasing. Say "yes" to gojane.com. Still not convinced? Love Variety?...Zappos.com is for you!

Zappos.com is the best one-stop online shop for all your fashion needs- at a discounted price!  You gotta love that! The site offerings include: Men's/Women's/Children's clothing and shoes, bags and handbags, houseware, and beauty products. Since the selection of merchandise is so broad, this site targets all consumer markets. I especially love reading the customer reviews on the products; it makes online shopping a lot easier. My favorite section to browse is shoes! The women's shoes are broken up into several categories- from flats to boots, from clogs & mules to wedges. I am truly impressed with the Menswear sections as well. Be sure to visit www.zappos.com, to satisfy your next fashion fix!

If you've never heard of them before or seen a featured item in the "hot buys" section of a magazine, Lulus.com should be your next stop for the latest fashions. The site's offerings include: dresses, tops, bottoms, shoes, denim, accessories, jewelry, and more. Some of the brands sold on the site are: Michael Antonio, Steve Madden, Claire Fong, Alternative Apparel, Melie Bianco, Blaque Label, and See Thru Soul (to name a few). The merchandise price points range from $9 to $170. One of my favorite features on the site is the listing under the products if there are "3 items left" or if it's "sold out."This helps when you're trying to see how much time you have to make the purchase. The Lookbook link also offers some great fashion styling ideas. The target market would be teenagers and young women ages 15 to 25.
